	What’s a more iconic name in music than Fender? With a legendary history of making guitars, and a brand that requires perfection in each and every pixel, we needed to build a creative model to support their performance marketing needs. Starting with eCommerce and extending into Fender Play (their online learning platform) we created a retainer relationship to ensure we have the right priorities tackled every month. 
	With an Agile Sprint approach, each phase started off aligning with our media team to establish priorities, work with the client for briefs based on those needs, and then managed our cadence of pitching ideas and executing at the highest level. Digital banners and paid social were the most effective mix, and our team of mad-talented Motion Designers delivered to the tune of steady ROAS growth over the last 3-years. &#38;nbsp;

User, meet our new brand!&#38;nbsp;Key to this project was bringing a new way of looking at healthcare for HealthFirst. Working collaboaratively with a partner agency developing new branding, our guiding principle was to help users understand they can go from “at least they have their health” to the “ability to own their health.” For the client, our work blended a nuanced lifestyle approach with function to accomplish user tasks in a way that eased emotional angst. 

	Starting off the engagement, we orchestrating a stakeholder workshop focusing on the business and functional priorities as well as stakeholder mapping. Quickly following was a robust prioritization session to bring together user and health system priorities. But adding some key impact beyond just the “mockup” from the new brand guide is what really made the client fall in love.

	Having such a major player in Amazon gives you a lot of opportunities. It goes well-beyond just eComm (although it’s mostly about eComm) and into every conceivable niche for audience, product segment and of course plaform. I had the opportunity to touch nearly every part of the work we did across a dozen business units. Most important for me was digging in deeply with each client from the start and making sure they knew we’d always be in it together.

	As usual our approach was based on digital and performance marketing expertise. Pitching new channel ideas and media opportunities, adding capabilities in motion design, and understanding of just the right way to test and iterate spoke their language. Amazing, smart and absolutely kind people work there, so that makes it pretty easy to dig in every day.

		<description>When it comes to a company (and brand) with heart, I’m not sure I can name one that does it better than CareFirst. It all started with our existing With Care expression, a signature on the “love letter” to our members. The POV was strong. The voice equally so. However, our challenge was that we needed to help the brand show up in the market in a less informal way to compete with the likes of the non-regional brands coming into our turf.

	I needed to find ways to show (and preach) the value of Design across our brand campaigns and digital product work, and to make an immediate impact in our DX/CX strategy. I also guided the team in becoming more agile while still maintaining our conceptual muscle and highest of standards. Despite a challenging landscape, the result was a team who was easy to work with and always true to our “Difference Makers” moniker.

	When you get a chance to work on the X Games, and you’re a snowboarder who also grew up racing BMX, there’s nothing better. Our opportunity was to take the event identity and brand ethos the internal team built and use our motion chops to make it unskippable. &#38;nbsp;
	Starting from motion designs on the opening logo, we crafted a dozen different video variations (including broadcast), TikTok matchcuts, Poll Ads, Disruptor concepts and an OOH Digital Truck. In fact, the results brought in 117% of the goal we set. And damn was this a fun one!

	Let’s help audiences love what they watch with IMDb. We immersed our inner movie and TV geeks to help the IMDb team meet some pretty audacious goals. We went straight into a modified Design Thinking approach I developed to dig deep into the midset of what viewers are truly interested in for a creative strategy. We supported a wide range of video and audio ads, digital banners, and a whole bunch of other owned platforms across the Amazon ecosystem.&#38;nbsp;

	Developing dozens of variations for each segment combining different use cases, photography selects, and messages, we went deep with the media team to run with a quarterly cadence. Most fun? Possibly the idea that we designed wakescreens seen in many millions of homes across the world. Oh, and we surpased every OKR and KPI from awareness to digital performance to site traffic. So there was that.

How do you stack up? Our Mastercard client came to us with a problem. They had in mind a “product” that would draw C-levels in to fill out a digital innovation survey to see how they ranked. Problem was they needed the right motivation to even do that. So we had to go back a bit and help define what exactly the objectives for such a product would be (I can share notes from that brainstorm session I guided, because they were pretty amazing). 

	The crew then dug back in for a content and design overhaul which is really a demand generation effort—that actually started in reverse. It gave us exclusive content in partnership with Harvard Business Review to craft the experience, and also the opportunity to better define guidelines on their digital experiences.

	Making a great museum experience Hella Oakland was the rallying cry from the go. As we kicked off working with the Oakland Museum of California for a complete Experience Design re-do, we set on a path to ensure the site tells the story about how integral the museum is for the community.

	I led the project from initial Stakeholder visioning and interviews, through core User Experience and Research, and on through Visual Design collaborating with the internal brand team to ensure it was all the museum stood for.

	The Good Mythical Morning team needed to redefine their online merch campaigns. We had 20-million loyal subscribers, and wanted to give that fanbase something that had all the vibes, but still make new audiences stop scrolling and say “whoa.” Enter the Mythical Merch Portal campaign. A concept that wasn't just about selling products; it was as much about bringing them into the world of Rhett and Link’s unique brand of humor and adventure.
	Accompanying the in-feed and pre-roll  motion videos were strategically placed GDN banners and paid social. The success of the initial Mythical Merch Portal work prompted expansion into Black Friday and Cyber Monday weekends. And clients don’t do that without loving it (and knowing it’s working).&#38;nbsp;
